The sous vide (pronounced "soo-veed") technique, the secret of great chefs worldwide for decades, involves cooking food in vacuum-sealed pouches submerged in a precisely-controlled water bath held at a constant temperature.

I use the Sous Vide for baby backs, brisket, pulled pork short ribs and flanks steak. It has allowed me to turn out some of the best barbeque I've ever made. I keep a log of temperatures and cooking time since the recipes on the web are all over the map. Once you get that figured out, it's simple and delicious. Just be sure to cook it for a while on the grill, especially the baby backs. I have recommended the oven to literally dozens of people.

I bought the SousVide Supreme for my husband's birthday and have made many amazing meals! Preparing SousVide Filet Mignon is the best we have ever had! I would highly recommend the SousVide cooking method to anyone!

Cook cabbage and meat simultaneously

I use the default start temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit to warm red cabbage and bison meat simultaneously. I then set a timer to hold them in the water bath an additional 10 minutes. I cut bison meat in small pieces, place them in a 2-cup bowl, and set it on a small trivet in one end of the water bath. I place the red cabbage in the large Sous Vide bag and do not seal the bag, but place the bag under the bag rack and hold the rack down by running a 11 5/8 long x 3/16" diameter metal rod placed under both handles of the wire frame that supports the perforated tray. I use the water bath every day, so I drain the water every day and found the easiest way for me to drain it is to use it next to the sink and use a 46 inch long rubber tube to siphon the water out. As the water level drops, I tilt the water bath towards the end that has the rubber hose, and then finally towards the corner that has the rubber hose.

Got this for my husband for Christmas. He loves it. Every meal he has prepared has come out perfectly well done. So have the vegetables. Getting the package was the best option and it has worked perfectly so far. I would recommend as a gift. The price is fair for everything that you get, and it's good quality.
