About Us

Driven by their passion for healthy living and love of cooking, Drs. Michael and Mary Dan Eades founded Eades Appliance Technology LLC,  in 2009. For nearly three decades, the Eades have been practicing physicians, operated clinics across the U.S., written best-selling books on healthful living, and have championed the creation of many nutrition and health products.

The idea for EAT's first product, the SousVide Supreme™, came about after Michael and Mary Dan began experimenting with the sous vide after hearing about its nutritionally beneficial properties. Frustrated with the clunky and prohibitively expensive equipment currently on the market, the Eades began working on a new sous vide water oven that would allow any home chef to easily enjoy this exciting cooking technique. The Eades also consulted with world-renown chef Heston Blumenthal, who added decades of gourmet sous vide cooking expertise to the product's research and development and ensured the SousVide Supreme would meet the highest culinary standards.

After much experimentation and international research, the SousVide Supreme was created – and is now available for use in home kitchens.
